
The print was executed at the Ukiyo-e Research Center in Tokyo, Japan from hand-carved blocks of cherry wood. It is printed with natural dyes on Hosho, a hand-made paper.
Collaboration between the artist and Master Printer Tadakatsu Takamizawa began in January 1980 and was completed in April 1982. Under the direction of Mr. Takamizawa, the carving and printing were done by Mr. Hanpei Okura (carving) and Mr. Kanjiro Sato (printing).
